Assist and Coordinate Large and Complex Proposal Efforts

Large and Complex Proposals include proposals with large budgets ($2,500,000 or more), center awards, proposals involving multiple academic units/external partners, or other proposals of strategic importance to George Mason University. Support may include: 

  • Assistance with strategic development of research, program project, center, consortium, research training and cooperative grant proposals;
  • Development of internal and external strategic alliances to help build effective teams, translate research discoveries and provide access to collective research resources; and
  • Proposal management (e.g. creating timelines, reviewing the grant application, cross-walking the grant application to the solicitation requirements and review criteria, assisting with non-subject matter specific sections; and serving as a liaison to Research Administration and the Office of Sponsored Programs).

Reminder: Support Letters from senior Mason leadership (e.g. Associate Vice President for Research, Provost) must be requested through your academic unit Associate Dean of Research well in advance of submission deadline.  For more information and resources see: Letters of Support

Research Development Services is excited to offer Graphic Design support to our Research Community! We now have advanced student graphic designers and science illustrators on our team available to help faculty create strategic, eye-catching print and digital materials on a per project basis. Graphic designers and science illustrators will be able to assist with the development of publication and presentation graphics, proposal graphics, and other research-related informational materials. As noted, these services are provided on a per project basis and will be billed to individual org codes provided on the intake form.
